Definition of User Experience

User Experience (UX) refers to how users experience a product while using it.

It concerns how easy, convenient and appealing the product is to use. For Scrum Teams it is important to consider the user experience from the beginning of the development process.

It is not only about the product working but also about how pleasant it is for the user to use it.

This means that understanding what users want, receiving feedback from users and adjusting the product to make it better for users are essential.

To give a product’s user a good experience (UX), UX teaching advises that a product must be:

  • Usable
  • Accessible
  • Enjoyable
  • Useful

Ultimately a good user experience ensures that people like using the product, which will contribute to its success.
